Louis Borgatta, MD, FACC, FACP Return to List of Doctors

 

Dr. Louis Borgatta joined Berks Cardiologists, Ltd. in 1993. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases. He is certified by the Heart Rhythm Society as a Rhythm Specialist in Cardiac Pacing and Defibrillation, and is Certified by the Council of Nuclear Cardiology in Nuclear Cardiology.

His sub-specialties include:

 

  · Transesophageal & Stress Echocardiography

  · Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterization

  · Nuclear Cardiology Imaging

  · Permanent Pacemaker &                   

       Defibrillator Implantation and follow up

Dr. Borgatta was raised in Long island, NY, and earned his undergraduate degree in biology at St. John’s University, Jamaica, NY. He started his medical school education in Turin, Italy at the University of Turin. He transferred to New York Medical College and received his medical degree at New York Medical College, Valhalla, NY. His postgraduate training included Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at The University of Connecticut Health Center, Farmington, CT. He remained at the Health Center as Chief Medical Resident and also completed his Cardiovascular Fellowship at the Health Center prior to joining Berks Cardiologists.

 

" I enjoy the diversity in Cardiology, beginning with preventive care, the specialty allows me the ability to utilize numerous diagnostic tests. Cardiology also allows me, when needed, to perform various procedures or surgeries, and still continue to follow my patients for many years developing strong bonding relationships between us.
